Look at all this stuff!

Man, have we got baby stuff! Our tiny baby room is filled to the rim with the gifts from our family and friends. Thank you all so much! It's almost embarrassing, actually. My dad was over and he was amazed at how spoiled a kid could be before birth. He said that he didn't sleep in a bed that nice until he was over 40 years old (after seeing the convertible crib).

After about 3 hours worth of plundering and organizing last night, we can actually walk through the room without stepping on a gift. Now the room is tiny, so the amount and size of the gifts seems magnified, but this kid is going to be set. One of Andrea's co-workers said he wanted to buy stock in our baby! What does that even mean?

I will try and get some pics posted up soon. Until then we've got TWO MORE SHOWERS!

Thanks again to everyone.

It's baaaack...

Well, it looks like PandA's TV debut is going to happen after all. For those that don't know, PHPR (my employer- public relations firm) was hired to help a family owned wrestling business called Professional Championship Wrestling who just happened to be being filmed for a show called The Bussey Bunch for the TLC/Discovery network. Andrea and I will make our first appearance in episode 7! I think the show is scheduled to start sometime in March. Mark your TIVOS!

Mavs and Stars

Oh, Avery. What the hell?

Last night was a great TV night for DFW b-ball and hockey. First the Mavs vs. Spurs.
Avery pulling J. Kidd out of the game for the last possessions and replacing him with J. Terry was akin to dropping your gun and putting up your dukes in a high noon standoff. Suicide. Why the hell did we trade for this guy if we are not going to use him. I won't go on. I'm just too confused. Bad coach. Bad.

The debut of Brad Richards in a Stars uniform was AWESOME! That team seems to be firing on all cylinders at the right time. Glory bound. 5 assists in one night. He's got the skating skills of Modano and the hands of Zubov. I can hear the friction of Dallas fans rubbing their hands together awaiting the first round of the playoffs.

Plans for the Weekend?

No, I don't have any plans. I've got duties.
Andrea and I are now in "nesting" mode, I believe, as focus turns away from going out and having fun to staying home and getting ready for the boy. Which I'm sure we will have plenty of fun, just a different type of fun. Like fun working in the yard, fun assembling baby items, fun cleaning the baseboards in the house, fun preparing for a garage sale. It's all in preparation for living for someone besides ourselves and I'm more than fine with that, I'm grateful!

Tonight is our 5th anniversary dinner, and it's gonna be fun.
It's got to be.

And away we go!

I am starting this blog because I thought it might be a good way for family and friends to know what's going on in our very busy lives. Not sure of where to start, but this weekend seems to make sense, so...

Andrea and I attended our friend Rob's birthday party at Dave and Busters in Dallas. D and B's is a restaurant/game room that used to cater to adults, but as we found out Saturday night, the kids are welcome all night long. The best scene of the evening was a mom holding her three year old in her arms while they fired their guns into video screens with attacking crack heads and other various perps. Touching, I know. Good times were had and our friend Scott dominated the "Need For Speed" driving game without putting down his beer. Impressive and scary. Kudos to Andy for staying out so late and showing the boy how to party!

Today we woke up early and dragged ourselves to a childbirth class that started at 9:00am and went until 3:30. Phew, that was tough! I will spare you the details of the videos, as I'm sure most have seen them. We really were not scared or nervous until today! Thanks, Arlington Memorial! Walking the halls of AMH was bitter sweet for me, as this is the hospital mom was at when she passed in September of '07. I thought of her often in the class and of the jokes I would tell her, and of the questions I would have asked. I was born at AMH, too. Lot's of history and plenty of future to be had there.

This weekend I also learned of my Uncle Jimmy's (Sharon Reid's brother-in-law) unfortunate bout with double pneumonia. He has been hospitalized for a few days and they are in a holding pattern until his pneumonia heals, then they have to perform triple bypass. Please keep Jimmy and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

OK, I won't go on any longer with this entry as the Knight Rider preview is airing soon!
Until next time...
